Waterparks Sneaks Out Of Heaven and Onto the Stage in Pittsburgh

Waterparks made a stop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 16, 2024 with support from Sophie Powers and Loveless on the Sneaking Out Of Heaven Tour this spring.

Sophie Powers is an Alt-Pop artist from Canada who had opened for Waterparks on their last tour, winning everyone’s hearts. For this tour, she is only on a select few dates, but takes the stage like she owns it for every performance.

If you think you don’t know them, just open your TikTok and check again because you’ve definitely seen the band Loveless before. Loveless is a duo from Los Angeles, California consisting of vocalist, Julian Comeau and instrumentalist, Dylan Tirapelli- Jamail, and they are rapidly taking over the scene. Opening for Waterparks this run just makes sense, they mesh very well with the vibes of the other acts on the tour, and their killer songs make the entire venue fall in love with them every night without fail.

Waterparks is just that band. With a hypnotizing production and the way vocalist, Awsten Knight interacts with the crowd, I can see why “Parxies” are fixated on them. They really know how to put on a show and keep it interesting. Aside from the music, I loved the talking points Awsten would bring up like how being in Pittsburgh, there’s so much different slang that fans put on signs. At one point, Knight asked what a “Yinzer” was, which made the entire venue laugh since again, it’s a Pittsburgh thing.

All around the Sneaking Out Of Heaven Tour was so cool and fun to witness firsthand, and I would absolutely go see Waterparks again in the future.
