Fall Out Boy Returns to Pittsburgh with the So Much For (2our)dust Tour

Fall Out Boy whom are no strangers to Pittsburgh brought their “So Much For (2our)dust” tour to PPG Paints Arena on March 27, 2024 and surely did not disappoint.

Bringing phenomenal support acts Jimmy Eat World, Hot Mulligan and CARR, they brought the joys of pop punk to life in Pittsburgh.

If you attended the first leg of this tour, some things stayed the same, but also became extremely different. Fall Out Boy kept us on our toes-changing the setlist every show, bringing out different deep cuts they haven't played in a long time.

Pittsburgh’s infamous magic 8 ball song had my jaw on the floor. Pete Wentz asked, “Do we play an old B Side?” queuing the intro to “The Music The Misery", which they have not played since May 30, 2006.

Fall Out Boy’s production is some of the best i’ve seen for an arena tour, and by far one of my favorites to date. The pyro, fireworks, stage setup and props assured there was never a dull moment in the show. Pete doing magic always gives us a little chuckle as well.

Some of the setlist for Pittsburgh included “Chicago Is So Two Years Ago” straight into “Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy”, “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s an Arms Race”, “Thnks For the Mmrs” and many more.

Yes, Pete did break out the fire bass for “The Phoenix” and “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up)” as well.

The most beautiful part of the show was when vocalist, Patrick Stump got on piano and did “So Much (For) Stardust”. The entire arena lit up and the screens showed what it looked like from stage behind him. That moment will be euphoric in my brain forever. Hearing fans sing along to the song always gives me goosebumps in such a good way.

Whether you’ve been a fan since the start or found them through Marvel movies, Fall Out Boy is always such a great band to see live. Fall Out Boy has given us 20-some years as a band, and they will forever crush it.
